Namibia delegation visits Bijeljina
The Mayor of Bijeljina Mićo Mićić talked today with the delegation of the Ministry of Defence of Namibia about the posssibilites for cooperation with some of the cities in that contry, but also about opening new work places through business cooperation with Technical repair Bratunac in „Elvako“company in Bijeljina.
Deputy Minister of Defence of Namibia Billy Muaningange, said that they are satisfied that they visited the City of Bijeljina.
By visiting Bijeljina, Republic of Srpska and B&H, we write history, this cooperation is of great importance because it creates new working places. Cities around the world are connecting, and their goal is to accelerate economic development. Sustainable economic development is the key to each local community - said Muaningange.
Head of the Office of the Mayor of Bijeljina Mile Pejčić pointed out that the start of the production in the "Elvako" is of great importance to our City.
TRB besides military industry, now also develops a civilian program- including production of electrodes and containers, which means more work places, and every newly created work place is precious for us- said Pejcic, adding that they discussed about the possibilities of further cooperation.
The majority owner of TRB Slavenko Ristić said that this meeting is a first of many by a delegation from Namibia.
-The military industry was the economic engine of development of former Yugoslavia. In the past five years we have succeeded in entering, through the military industry, into other segments of the industry. Cooperation with Namibia will not end only in the field of military industry - said Ristić, reminding that TRB started production in "Elvako" two months ago.
