Department of Inspections performs inspection activities under the City jurisdiction of activities, business and behaviour of:

• legal entities;
• independent entrepreneurs;
• persons engaged in activities, as well as the citizens, related to observing the law and other regulations and general documents in the fields regulated by law;
• other jobs placed in their scope of work by special documents.

There are two sections within the Department of Inspections:
- Section for inspection of trade and health protection
- Section for inspection of civil engineering, traffic and environmental protection
