Chief of Territorial Fire Brigade: Mile Spasojević
 
Territorial Fire Brigade performs jobs prescribed by law, Memorandum of Association of the Territorial Fire Brigade Bijeljina (Official Gazette of the City of Bijeljina, 5/13), and other documents of competent state and City authorities.

 
Scope of work and competencies of the Territorial Fire Brigade are as follows:
 
  • performing activities of professional fire brigades prescribed by law (activity: 84.25);
  • participation in implementation of preventive fire protection measures with the aim of increased efficiency and a timely intervention of the fire brigade;
  • fire fighting and rescuing people and property endangered by fire and natural disasters;
  • implementation of fire protection measures, prescribed by the Fire protection plan of the City of Bijeljina;
  • providing technical aid in accidents and dangerous situations;
  • accomplishing tasks of civil protection units pursuant to the Law on the Protection and Rescue in Emergency Situations (Official Gazette of Republic of Srpska, 121/12);
  • performs training of employees and assessment of their knowledge related to fire protection at companies, in accordance with a signed agreement (activity: 85.59 - other education n.e.c.);
  • installation and marketing of fire and other equipment;
  • preventive activities related to fire protection and testing manual and mobile fire extinguishers, or filling and servicing of fire extinguishers and testing the hydrant network (activity: 71.20 - technical testing and analysis);
  • other jobs related to environmental and other accidents.
 
 
In planning of work, and reporting in the scope of work, the Territorial Fire Brigade performs the following jobs:
 
  • prepares draft annual plan of consumption of special resources intended for fire protection;
  • prepares annual operational plan of the Brigade, in accordance with prescribed methodology, monitors its implementation, and submits periodical reports to the Mayor;
  • collects data, prepares various analyses, studies, reports and information within their scope of work and submits them to the competent city and other authorities;
  • actively participates in the strategic planning of integrated development;
  • participates in proposing and preparation of project proposals and project documentation, within their scope of work;
  • performs other jobs ordered by the Mayor, and other jobs placed in their scope of work by special documents.
