GoGreen application available to the citizens of Bijeljina
The citizens of Bijeljina have recently got an opportunity to use the GoGreen mobile application. It can be used to report illegal landfills, locate green zones, connect with competent authorities, educate about environment, and scan waste.
Bijeljina City Administration officers regularly update the contents, so the citizens are informed about all eco days, cleaning and planting events in their own, and in other local communities involved in this project.
The application is also a source of fun, but with an educational segment. The users are able to have fun solving environment cleaning missions and to learn which bin to use for paper tissues, cans, or other waste. The goal of the game is to teach all generations, especially the younger ones, to properly recycle through interactive learning.
The application is available at: www.gogreen.ba or by scanning the QR code. It is available in 14 municipalities and cities and was designed by a team of young people at last year’s Hackathon that took place within the Regional Programme on Local Democracy in the Western Balkans – ReLOaD – funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
