Mayor of Bijeljina, Ljubiša Petrović, with associates, took part in a video conference regarding the presentation of USAID project Public Administration Reform in BaH, which includes introduction of electronic government.

The project has five components - application of electronic signature, electronic building permits, reform of inspection control and supervision, register of various social aids, and public procurements.

Mayor Petrović pointed out that the goal of the City Administration is modernisation in this area, which, without a doubt, will be accomplished through introduction and improvement of information technology. According to him, it will soon be known which local communities, or levels of government in BaH, will access individual components, and then the implementation of more concrete activities will commence.

The Ambassador of the United States of America in BaH - Eric Nelson, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH - Zoran Tegeltija, and Minister for spatial planning, civil engineering and ecology of the Republic of Srpska - Srebrenka Golić, among others, attended the conference.
