Bijeljina will host the 6th UN Road Safety Week



​The City of Bijeljina will host the 6th UN Road Safety Week on 21st May – as agreed at the recent meeting between Mayor Ljubiša Petrović and the director of the Traffic Safety Agency of Republika Srpska, Novica Krunić.
 
The steps to organise this important event were defined at the meeting, and the participants talked about the structure of the revised Transport Safety Council of the City of Bijeljina and the support of the Agency to the work of the local Council.
 
The topic of this year’s road safety week, which will be held from 17th to 23rd May is “Streets for Life” – We love 30 km/h speed limit, and it will be organised in cooperation with the European Transport Safety Council located in Brussels, World Health Organisation, Transport Community located in Belgrade, Traffic Safety Agency of Republika Srpska, and national and local subjects involved in traffic safety in Republika Srpska.
 
During the 6th UN Road Safety Week, the Traffic Safety Agency of Republika Srpska is going to organise a lottery for parents of children under 36 kg. After riding in the rollover simulator, the parents will receive a number, which will be drawn to determine the winner to receive a child car safety seat.
