Cyclists have arrived to Bijeljina

The cyclists of the 15th International Cycling Race Belgrade – Banja Luka have arrived to Bijeljina in the afternoon led by Polish cyclist Patryk Stosz, member of the Voster ATS Team, while German cyclist Justin Wolf, member of the Bike Aid team, kept the lead in general classification. The stage to Bijeljina was ridden from Obrenovac, without stopping at the border crossing, and tomorrow the cyclists will ride a hill climb stage from Bijeljina to Vlasenica.

The yellow shirt for the best placement was presented by the Bijeljina Mayor, Ljubiša Petrović, who said that this sport event has a better organisation from year to year.
- It is a great pleasure for us to welcome many teams from all around the world to Bijeljina, and to host a finish of one stage and a start of the next one. The City Administration is doing everything they can to contribute to the organisation of this race. This event is happening between Belgrade and Banja Luka and it is another contribution to the strengthening special and parallel connections between Serbia and Srpska – said Mayor Petrović.
The president of the Cycling Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Toni Zorić, said that the race is organised in extraordinary circumstances caused by the corona virus pandemic, and the race director, Vladimir Kuvalja, reminded of the contribution the sport provides in deleting borders, this race being a great example.
