The gasification project of the City of Bijeljina in the final phase

Works on the construction of high-pressure gas pipeline "Šepak-Bijeljina" are close to completion, and the construction site was visited by the mayor of Bijeljina Mićo Mićić. So far around 300 km of gas pipeline network has been built in the city area.Despite numerous obstacles, we managed to overcome all the challenges and soon the gas will come to our City. The City administration provided the relevant infrastructure that included land expropriation and all legal procedures that were required to obtain building permits. We hope that households will be able to join the gas pipeline by the beginning of next year - said Mićić. Connections for citizens will cost 750 Euros and will be allowed to pay in installments within three years. Director of "Bijeljina Gas", Jovo Vujanović, reminded that this company is the investor, while "Novi Sad Gas" is the executor of all works.- We waited for a long time to begin with the works, but now we work intensively and hope that everything will be completed according to the plan. The only thing that eventually can slow down the works are the weather conditions, but we will try to finish as much work as possible while the weather is favorable - said Vujanović, adding that for the needs of the works, about 400 parcels of land were purchased. The total value of the project is around 20 million Euros, out of which around 500,000 BAM were allocated from the City budget.
